Why is my bookmark list 'read only'?
This can be because:

The bookmark list file is open in another copy of Bookmark Buddy,
either on the same computer, or on another computer on the same network. |

The bookmark list file is marked as Read Only by Windows.
This can happen when restoring a list file from a CD-R. |

The bookmark list file is open in another application, say a text editor. |
To check if the list file is marked as Read
Only by Windows: Open Windows Explorer and locate the list
file (to check where to find it, select the list from Bookmark Buddy's
Lists menu in Regular or Organize mode
and you'll see the list's file path at the bottom or Bookmark Buddy's
window). Right-click on the list file and select Properties.
At the bottom of the Properties window is a checkbox
marked Read Only. Untick this box if you want to be able
to edit the bookmark list.
