Secure your site log-in passwordsBookmark Buddy lets you store a log-in name and password with each bookmark. Even if you are normally the only person with access to your computer it's still a good idea to encrypt such sensitive information, so Bookmark Buddy provides an option to encrypt all the site log-in passwords in a bookmark list. Once you have set an encryption password, your site passwords are all stored in an encrypted form. When you want to retrieve a log-in password Bookmark Buddy prompts you for the decryption password, which it requires to decrypt and retrieve it. Secure entire bookmark collectionsIf you want to protect all of your bookmarks, Bookmark Buddy can encrypt your entire bookmark list: bookmark names, addresses, log-in details, notes, the lot. Once you have set a password the bookmark list is stored in an encrypted form. When you next open the bookmark list Bookmark Buddy prompts you for the decryption password, which it requires to decrypt and open the bookmark list. How secure is it?Bookmark Buddy employs industry-standard 128-bit Blowfish encryption, which is as secure as any symmetrical encryption algorithm. How secure it is really depends on the password you use: the longer and more obscure, the better.
